PART TIME PUNKS pays tribute to 120 MINUTES, MTV’s ground-breaking program to celebrate it’s 26th anniversary! (The program debuted Sunday, March 10, 1986.)

Which means you can spend an entire evening dancing to your favorite “Alternative Music” from the 1980s and 1990s…against a massive video projection of classic archival footage from the program.

What is “Alternative Music?” you ask. Why, that was the then handy-dandy rock journalist term for the very best in indie music that was coming out at the time. A broad, non-genre specific term that described bands as disparate (and remarkable) as The Cure, Depeche Mode, The Smiths, Morrissey, New Order, Nine Inch Nails, Nirvana, The Pixies, The Pale Saints, Ride, My Bloody Valentine, Spiritualized, Sonic Youth, Smashing Pumpkins, Bjork, PJ Harvey, Radiohead, Blur, Oasis, Front 242, NItzer Ebb, Nick Cave, The Fall…

And these are exactly the bands you will get to dance to all nite long! With Guest DJs ALEX and RAY [regular guest DJs at PTP’s Depeche Mode, Pulp & Cure Nites, not to mention the chaps responsible for the Smiths and Depeche Mode Conventions, Club Transistor, AM/FM and Control!)
